Successful and long-term business is a direct result of our hands-on executive team. Together both directors have 50 years experience in the building industry, and of that, a combined 30 years with Stevens.

Our clients have a tangible sense of stability and reliability when dealing with Stevens Construction. They know that our sound management comes from a firsthand understanding of the ins and outs of the construction industry over many years.

Jason

Jason Lewis

Director, Senior Estimator, Cost Planner

Having graduated with Honours from his Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Economics, Jason Lewis began his 20 year career as a project manager and quantity surveyor. Having worked on many commercial, retail and leisure projects, he accumulated much experience over a wide range of sectors. Jason’s valuable knowledge of construction methods and value management saw him take up senior consulting roles to major Sydney city re-development contractors. He later travelled to the United Kingdom where his skills were sought to rebrand/refurbish a major high street retail chain across the British Isles.

Jason joined Stevens Construction in 2001. He brings to the business well-rounded experience which offers clients effective cost planning and strategic value management. Jason’s ability to determine the most cost-effective solution for a project early in the design process, leads to savings in both time and money, and ultimately, better results for our clients.

Steven

Steven Mailey

Director, Construction Manager

Steven Mailey’s role as Construction Manager is focused on ensuring the effective control and management of project delivery, timing and costs. From his initial qualifications as a Licensed Builder, Steven has also gained an Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction, and Certificate IV in OH&S.

Steven has an extensive building background spanning over 30 years of experience in commercial, shopping centres, large chain retail outlets, medical, hospitality, and Government and residential projects throughout Sydney metropolitan, Hunter region, NSW regional and interstate.

Having joined the company in 1993 Steven has a strong team approach, professional business methodology and has been pivotal in the company winning numerous industry awards. He is held in high regard by industry peers and his leadership style fosters excellent team results and satisfied clients.
